The American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science has earned the highest recognition from two charity rating organizations — a 2024 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid and a 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator.

The official Platinum Transparency seal recognizes the American Committee as a philanthropic organization that demonstrates a deep commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, and operates from a position of strong financial health. 
 

This is the second year in a row that the American Committee has received the Platinum seal from non-profit rating organization Candid, and it underscores the American Committee’s strict adherence to industry best practices and the sacred promise made to each and every supporter that their philanthropic dollars are spent responsibly and efficiently. 

In addition to receiving the Platinum Seal, the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science has been awarded the coveted 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the largest charity assessment organization.  Only 25% of evaluated charities receive this distinction of a perfect score. 

These top ratings give the American Committee’s supporters even more confidence that their contributions to advancing basic science research are facilitating real change. Donors cansupport the American Committee’s vital workwith trust and ease knowing the organization is highly effective, accountable, and transparent.

To earn Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency, the American Committee shared financial details and information about their mission, staff and leadership, programs, goals, strategies, progress, and results. The Charity Navigator score is calculated from multiple beacon scores, weighted with 90% Accountability & Finance and 10% Leadership & Adaptability.
