Climate Change: Prof. Dan Yakir on the Role of Desert Forests

At his Yatir Forest research station, sited in a desert, the Weizmann Institute of Science's Prof. Dan Yakir studies the role of forests in potentially mitigating climate change. By investigating the rate of change of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere – in particular, carbon dioxide, or CO₂ – he hopes to be able to predict future changes.
