Featured speakers, Dr. Einat Segev and Dr. David Zeevi, and moderator, Prof. Maya Schuldiner, held a far-reaching discussion that gave us insights into the groundbreaking environmental research being done on campus and an insider’s view of the unique experience of building a lab at Weizmann. The program was kicked-off by Ellen Merlo, Immediate Past National Chair for the American Committee, with a warm introduction and background on the Weizmann Institute’s history of investment in people. Transformative research isn’t only about the science that takes place in the lab; Weizmann gives its young scientists the tools they need – and the academic freedom – to pursue their curiosity for the benefit of humanity. To conclude the program, Prof. Schuldiner moderated a dynamic Q&A with the audience.
