In his WIS TALK, Prof. Yaron Lipman of Weizmann’s Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics discusses new frontiers in AI. He explains what AI is and how it is part of our lives, such as through image recognition algorithms. These are used in applications such as Google photos, autonomous driving, and medical imaging – and are as good as, sometimes even better than, humans.
Prof. Lipman also presents two of his current projects: 3D understanding and ultrasound navigation. He used the latter to develop his award-winning On-Sight, a method that uses AI to diagnose heart ultrasounds.
